The Gatwick Parking Association comprises of a group of off airport car park operators. Each member must have certain criteria in order to be accepted. The aim of the organisation is to distinguish its members from unauthorised operators and give their clients the confidence that their cars will be safe.

The Criteria

• Insurance
  All vehicles must be covered fully comprehensively whilst they are being driven or stored.
• Authorised Compounds
  This means that all pieces of land used for the storage of airport related cars must have the appropriate planning permission.
• Customer Care Charter
  All complaints, allegations of damage must be dealt with in an appropriate professional manner.
• Public Liability Insurance
  each company must have the appropriate level of indemnification for any claims made it against it.
• Employees
  Dressed in uniform, easily identifiable, ID badges, professional in their attitude.
• VAT and Payroll Numbers
  all members have a registered payroll and VAT number.

NOTE - There are some Authorised Operators who are not members of the Gatwick Parking Association. It is a voluntary membership and some companies have chosen not to be members

IAPRA is a client of Politics International who monitor any issues arising in connection with the airport parking industry. These issues include new government proposals for airports and any White/Green papers which could affect the off airport car parks. These car parks currently provide necessary additional space to on airport car parks and ensure prices remain competitive for the public.

This is an organisation whose members are all connected to the parking industry. A monthly publication is distributed to all members containing amongst other things the latest parking news, ideas, proposals and other features concerning car parking of all descriptions.
